It's literally only Discord and Reddit nowadays since they both have better features and are more convenient. But yeah forums are definitely of the past now anyways.
I only used the forums for promoting my own stuff, reading good guides, checking the marketplace, and register to some player-held or official events. It's obviously the same for most games, especially the ones with PvP, but I definitely feel like Elsword is up there in the list of toxicity (at least for KR MMOs). Tbh this probably effected in-game as PvE got more challenging, trickling into PvP more, and created this power dynamic between casuals and elites. It just kinda led to them becoming popularity contest and it got worse over the years.

I remember that a major prerequisite for being a forum mod (or community mod now lol) was to be super active and have a lot of posts, which makes a lot of sense right? Well that's pretty much why I felt like most players that posted more often were on a huge ego trip but just dont wanna admit that they're power hungry. They were a whole different breed compared to players who dont use the forums and if u even say one small negative thing about the forums they try to witchhunt u. Majority of people I replied to in there had superiority complexes. Like it just never felt welcoming to anyone unless ur in the upper echelons of Elsword and you also get treated different if you have a small number of posts or dont use the forums at all. Was a turn off to some for sure.į was such a hellhole in there ngl lol.
